Robert Donaldson — New Owner of Port Townsend Computers, Inc.

In January 2012, Robert Donaldson purchased Port Townsend Computers, Inc., from owners Le and Willean Hornbeck. Donaldson joined PT Computers six years ago as a Computer Technician, promoted to Senior Technician in 2008 and to Vice President and General Manager in 2010. He assumed responsibility as President in January. He holds a Comp TIA A+ certification and is a certified Apple Certified Macintosh Technician authorized to work on Macs under warranty. The store is the peninsula’s only authorized Mac retail and service center. Donaldson is a graduate of Peninsula College and lives in Port Townsend. PT Computers is Jefferson County’s largest and most complete computer retail sales and service outlet specializing in sales and service support for both home and business. The store is also an AT&T affiliate for cell phone sales and is located in Castle Mall at 1200 West Sims Way.

The Hornbecks, who established the company in 2003, are retiring from active management but maintain a minority interest in the company. The Hornbecks appreciate Donaldson’s contributions to the business and have complete confidence in his ability to continue the high level of competence and service characteristic of Port Townsend Computers, Inc.

She loves the new site design.

As you have likely noticed, we are putting the finishing touches on our new website. I say ‘our’ new website, but it is really your new website. After all, we designed it with you in mind. We designed this new site to be more interactive, to include more of the information you are likely to need, and to get more of your feedback.

Our efforts to get more of your feedback are manifested in several changes including this blog (which gives you the ability to leave comments), and better social media integration.

For the blog, we have selected the Disqus commenting system. Disqus is one of the most popular online commenting systems, and is used on sites like CNN, TechCrunch, Engadget and many others. If you use Disqus to comment elsewhere on the Internet you can log in to the Port Townsend Computers blog and comment using the same account. You can even sign in using your Facebook account.

So please, feel free to step forward and make a comment. Tell us what we are doing wrong. Tell us what we are doing right. We welcome any and all comments on the new design for our site, or any other topic. You can also join us on Facebook for discussions, news, and special deals.

We have done our best to make information your are likely to need more easily accessible.

On the ‘Affiliates’ page we have made local ISPs webmail login pages and email settings readily available.

We are here to serve you.
